Ballerina Brag Book – part 1

Today`s workshop is part 1 of this Ballerina Brag Book – using the Newly launched `messy Rabbits` by Joanna Sheen

1. Take a piece of A4 card – in this case it`s pink tapestry card just because I love the weight and the colour

To make the front cover you will need to score 4cm`s in the leave a 1cm gap and score again – then leave 12cm`s and score ,then leave 1cm gap and score and then finally your left over piece should be 11.5cm`s – doesn`t matter if slight out as different paper vary   – if it overhangs the edge of the card when it is all folded up then trim down the front panel – then crease and fold your score lines to make your base of the book – the 1cm measurements are just to allow some depth to the pages you will be putting in

1.

2. Now score 3 A4 sheets of light card into 3 tri fold cards – I have used stardream card as it`s double sided and works well

2.

3. At this point cut off 3cm`s of all 3 tops of the card – this allows the card to sit nicely into the outer case

Depending on how you cut it it might be best to cut the card open or if you have a strong guillotine then maybe folded – whatever is best for you and it will differ with what card weight you use

Below I have laid the card out the way it would be put together – it is best to do this to ensure you stick the correct sides together

3.

4. Take your piece that needs taping down and with double sided tape secure the panels together – repeat this until you have all 3 pieces taped together

4.

5. Now back to your main base card – using a fancy corner punch – cut the corner edges to enhance the card

5.

6. As the inside of the card is white – I have inked the inside rather than covering the inside of the card – I have used Tim Holtz Milled Lavender – ink the page and allow to dry

6.

7. Once dry stamp with a dark pink the ballerina dress – some with little ink on to give a faded look and then take a lighter ink for the ballerina shoes – I didn`t ink all of the middle panel as i`m going to place something over that

Now take another piece of card and matt it with silver mirri card  this will form the base for the concertina card to sit
