House Mouse Decoupage Card

Well sorry folks it`s been a while but I have been head strong with my work to meet deadlines and also focus on Christmas stuff at home as well. Last year I felt I was chasing my tail all of December so this year i`m prepared and just going to be able to enjoy the run up to Christmas

Hopefully lots of crafty playing as well

I have had to change my computer which isn`t a bad thing as my 4 year old computer felt so different to this new one – but with it I hadn`t many new photo`s till after the weekend shows

I was blown away by the  new

HOUSE MOUSE decoupage sheets

brought to us by Joanna Sheen and under an angel policy so they can be used for selling as made up cards , which is wonderful

So i`m sure people who know me will think this was my card from the embroidery threads , but it just had to be done !!!

I adore this image and as soon as I saw it thought of the

elegant lace heart border stamp to make a parchment background

I trimmed along the zig zag line and edged in gold pentouch and just mounted the decoupage with gold mirri

Then to finish the card I had to make the sentiments with the threads which were so much fun

I`m adding this link for the tapestry lion workshop as it shows how to do the threads – on that one I used 2 fingers but for this card I used 3 fingers wide for wrapping the thread around

So thanks for sharing in my card and have fun with the decoupage as they are STUNNING images – so much detail

More soon

  1. Oh my word, Suzanne, this is wonderful!
The little meeces are adorable 🙂
Your embossed lace border and the little skeins of thread are a perfect finish.
Both kym and I said at Joanna’s demo at Rushden last Saturday how we were
    missing your lovely creations.
I hope you have got Christmas well under control this year 🙂

  2. I saw this on Joanna’s show. Its absolutely STUNNING and a great card for a ‘crafty’ friend!

Love these mice – so cute.

  3. It’s nice to see you posting again, some of your lovely creations, Suzanne, even though I’m sure you are very busy as we all are at this time of year. This is stunning and when I saw it I just knew it was yours.
