Acetate Bevelled Eastern Treasure Card

Today I thought i`d add this card made from the Eastern Treasures cd

I adore these flowers and the way they have been painted by the very talented Artist

This card started out to be a gatefold acetate card but there was a drop of water on the work top were the acetate was and the ink ran so I was left with one so I played around and thought you know what I think I like this better so stuck with the idea

The wrap was printed from the acetate section on the cd – I just adore the images around the outside and they compliment the images so well

I then cut a 2cm tab on the side extra and wrapped around the back and edged with gold pen touch and bevelled it over the decoupage

I placed the acetate finished piece onto some black tapestry card to set it off

I love the backing paper so just matched it all up – inside as well

A close up and to fix the acetate down on the outside I just placed some pinflair gel glue under the black flower on the right hand side

A different view of how the acetate protects the decoupage

This is a large card made from 2 A4 sheets of Onyx Stardream  card

I just made a tab of an inch and a half and folded it over the top and secured – just makes for a nice use of stardream

Many thanks for stopping by –  Suzanne

  1. Fabulous work Suzanne. I love it when you say what mishaps have happened along the way. I wish I could make something good come put of my mishaps. Super!!!! Cathy xxxx

  2. Oh my, Suzanne, this is stunning. I just love that acetate wrap. I’ve seen these on the C&C shows but to see it up close and personal is fabulous. This CD is currently on my very long wishlist but if you continue to produce masterpieces like this I can see I may have to succumb.

  3. Yes I agree with Alice absolutely stunning and it’s great to see the acetate dome close up. Thank you Suzanne for showing this card as I also wondered how it was done.
This is such a beautiful CD and it’s great to see your fabulous creations from it.

    Love Sheila xx
