BABY Word Book – Using Messy Rabbit CD

Well had a play yesterday with another word book after seeing all the wonderful images on the embellishment page on the New Messy Rabbit Cd

1 Having made a word book just using a normal font in a plain word document I made a template so I could cut these these in tapestry card – I have to say I made a mistake whilst inking the edges as I got some ink on my fingers and then on the white card , so I then added glimmer mist to cover the mistake – but having said that i`m so pleased I did as I prefer the colour

I have to add after seeing a comment from Edna about such a lot of work in it – that it only took an hour from selecting images & printing and cutting out and making so it can be a quick but effective project

Just use which ever font you are happy with for this project I used Comic Sans- will check back and find out the font size

So the word book was filled with images from the messy rabbit cd and I have added the characters behind the letters

2 Here is a close up of the crib which has been decoupaged up and glittered and I have added some glossy accents & also the little paper roses that just had to be added !!!

3 I added another Messy Baby to the reverse of the from page one – If I was doing it properly I would have done a reverse image when printing so it matched 100% – but it was nearly right

4 This sentiment is taken from the matching insert for the crib as is the backing papers for the whole word book

5 More pages and images – the reverse side of the backing paper was the red check from the extra backing papers on cd 2 – I used red to highlight the red bow on the crib and wanted to use red ribbon to tie the book together but couldn`t find any in my stash

6 Another page – here you get more spaces – ideal for photo`s or different pieces you want to add

7 A close up of the little faces behind the letters

8 Here is a photo of the images I used by clicking the snapshot tool and selecting sections of the images – ideal when doing this way to print one sheet and then the second one as a mirror image if you want to back the faces

9 Here is just the elements all cut out as I thought i`d do a workshop but really there was no need as it`s just the same as the link earlier in the posting

Hope this has given you ideas – have fun

  1. Just completed a card just a similar idea Suzanne – those ’embellishments’ on the CD are perfect for doing this sort of thing with.

Can’t show you mine yet as it is being posted to someone special but will put on my blog ASAP.

    Your book is fabulous.
