New Messy Rabbit Village Card

Today`s card has been added as it`s the launch of the new Messy Rabbit Village stamps on Create & Craft and Ideal World today @ 2pm

I was going to add a waterfall card that I was going to finish last night but Erin not feeling well meant nurse duties and no card – so being topical I thought I would add this card as it was the one I have been talking about being the card I have had most fun making in all my crafting days

I took a A3 watercolour pad and stamped the shop , scarcrow , 2 trees`s & 2 sunflowers , coloured them in using Lyra Aquacolours and a koi brush and then set about linking them all up with the grass and then stamped the flowers and coloured those in and finished with a picket fence which is decoupaged and raised on foam tape

Then my love for tapestry threads and cottons lead me to the cotton reels – I stamped then glazed the ends – and then wrapped the tapestry thread around the reels to match the colours I had used for the card

My thought behind it all was a crafting shop to send to a crafting friend

Thanks for looking at today`s card

  1. I saw this in the “gallery” Suzanne and thought it was gorgeous! I love the way you haven’t overdone anything so it’s not too busy, just very simple and fabulous!

  2. oh Suzanne this is just gorgeous. Please stop it – I thought I didn’t want the village ones and then you do things like this – just behave yourself!!!

I’ve something for you on my blog if you have chance to pop over.

  3. A superb card, Suzanne. I saw it on Joanna’s show today and it looked wonderful. I just love the touch with the real embroidery thread around the cotton reels.
