Ironing Fibres On A Rubber Stamp Technique – Question from the September Advise page

Well I have said I will try and answer more of the questions that didn`t win the craft goodies and card – to see if it can help too so

The question that was on the September advise page was :

I would love if you could do a step by step with fibres and ironing them? don’t know if I have the correct words. Think what you do is always so helpful,Thank you. Love Maureen x

So I have put together a workshop for this – now I know lots will know this technique but some might not so it was fun doing it

1. So place your stamp onto your acrylic block or use a wood mounted one

1.

2. Add Staz-on to the stamp – I have used brown for the Messy Rabbit stamp

2.

3. Now lay your fibres over the stamped image – these are cosmic shimmer ones

3.

4. Place some parchment / vellum over the fibres – this was just a scrap piece

4.

5. Iron on medium for 4 seconds or until you see the image coming through

5.

6. Once it is ready this is how the image will appear through the vellum

6.

7. Remove the fibres from the stamp and vellum – turn it over and this is your stamped image

7.

8. Now you can pull away the excess from the edges as the stamped edge will hold it all in place

8.

9. Then you`ll be left with some fibres you can use again

9.

10. This is the effect on a pale card – giving a nice soft feel

10.

11. Or on a black background it changes the colours altogether

11.

12. Or you can trim away around the egdes for a neater feel – then apply it to your card as you wish

12.

Thanks for sharing in today`s workshop – I hope it has answered some questions for you
