Jayne Netley Mayhew – Carp Card

Well after seeing this card made from the Jayne Netley Mayhew Cd on Create & Craft yesterday then I just had to add it and tell you a bit about it

This sample was made a few days before the Hilton Craft weekend – and everything was a bit hectic that week trying to prepare for going away and leaving hubby in charge of a 3 year old – and it was Father`s day and there was no time to make a card so I bought one – I know shame on me – well I tried to make up for it by doing one of the required samples that he might have had and hubby being a keen fisherman then what better than this fish

Each time I see it – it reminds me of not making him a card and the fact it`s just called a fish on the TV – we always shout – it`s a carp – they are a stunning fish and I just loved making this simple but effective card – the backing paper is wonderful too – and it is simply just 3 fish decoupaged – printed on gloss photo paper – nothing added on top to make it shine and then added to an oval frame done on a cricut with tapestry card underneath – the watermark one so it feels like water and then layers of mirri and backing paper

Thanks for sharing

Suzanne

  1. Hi Suzanne

Beautiful card and I acutally thought that you had ‘glossed’ the fish. Did you decoupage it using the non silcone glue or pads.

  2. Thanks – Anne it was using silicone glue and curving the edges and body – also cutting the fins and glued them on seperately so it built it up more

  3. It’s beautiful and I too thought it was glossed after completion. You’re right the carp are a very pretty fish 🙂
