Hollyhock Girl

As soon as I saw this image I just wanted to decoupage the dress and went about picking ideas from the image for the rest of the card

This card is using the image from the Fantasy Floral cd & the forget-me-not stamp in the background is  stamped and embossed in Halo gold embossing powder – the main image had been mounted onto 2 layers of mount board that were stuck together and then triple embossing using clear UTEE – then matted onto tapestry card

The words from the image were typed out and placed as a banner across the bottom corner using brads and the card is finished with an organza ribbon and a flower

Thanks for looking and please visit my monthly advise section and have a go – look forward to hearing some queries if you have any

  1. Stunning! Absolutely stunning Suzanne! Your creations give me so much inspiration and also remind me about the various images that are on Joanna’s cds. It’s such a beautiful image. Well done.

    love Sheila xx

  2. A beautiful card Suzanne and I love the background you’ve created to mount everything else on – the halo gold embossing powder is one of my absolute favourites and the only ‘sparkly’ embossing powder I can say I actually like.

  3. As everyone else has said, Stunning, beautiful, fantastic. What else is there to say. I do have one question tho where do you get the halo gold embossing power, cos I’ve never heard of that one.

  4. Gorgeous!!!
    Just love the stamped BG.
I was thinking the other day that I need some new adjectives for all these beautiful creations I’m seeing

  5. Much as I love the decoupaged image and the triple embossing Suzanne I think the stamped background is stunning!!!!! Is it a large background stamp you used or a smaller one stamped all over the card? Whichever it is you have done a fantastic job especially with the gorgeous gold embossing!

  6. Thanks for the lovely comments they mean a lot
Beryl if you click on the halo embossing powder it will come up with the powder on Joanna`s site – I changed it just to be direct to the gold – it`s a wonderful colour with a nice richness without being to much
& Denise it is the fairy forget me not stamp – just the tips of the flowers – I had to make sure the card was dusted with a static bag as the marks kept showing and I have to say this was my 3 attempt at the background as it was for C&C show it had to be right and I would get to the last bit and go wrong – still I made use of the other good bits

  7. This card is totally gorgeous. I agree with everyone else that we will have to go to the dictionary to find even more superlatives to describe your work. Awesome comes to mind. 🙂
