Pop out card – part 2

Following on from the pop out theme a couple of days ago – I wanted to show you a few ideas using this technique

This card was using the cute little mouse stamp – I just adore this and the backing paper is from the Victorian Christmas CD – put together on pink tapestry card – once you have the basic pop up folds you just need to decorate your card with layers of matts in pink and pearl white – I have embossed around the squares to give extra depth

So this card about because I was trying to be clever and do a double pop out using this technique – but once I had done it I had forgotten that the fold would pop out of the gatefold unlike normal pop out

Still i`m pleased with the results as I adapted the card and placed the pop up on an insert first – this gave a nice luxury feel

So here are the basics of this inside of the card

1. So take your card you want to use for the pop up and using the pop up instructions as before – make a double one this time – the card is also cut smaller than the A5 card so it will act as the feature when it`s placed on an insert

2. Line the insert with a matching backing paper making sure that is just slightly smaller width wise

3. Now place the pop up frame over the backing paper – and secure down with double sided tape

Placing DST on the first page of the insert place this inside you card base – Decorate with snow mouse etc

A here is another variation on the theme – this time making small squares and placing letters on the squares – these are from the Crafty Secrets stickers

Thanks for looking in again
