Gold Leaf Borders Using Double Sided Tape

Tonight I was watching a C&C show with interest by the Stamp addicts as it had Lyra`s and gold leaf on the show – it was the first time I had seen the show and it reminded me of the Gold leaf write up I had done

click here if you missed this

I saw the gold leaf around the edge of the card I hadn`t got that with in my write up and wanted to add it so thought it would be nice to share

I`m also aware I haven`t posted many workshops of late and there are reasons which i`ll explain soon – but mainly different work patterns with Husband and time issues – but I wanted to add a small one if nothing else

It`s not a big workshop but a useful workshop to apply a matt of gold or whatever colour leaf you have – or the fact you can add the tape where ever in your product and leaf it

So this photo below is a piece of white card with the edging gold leafed

1 So apply your double sided tape to the edge on inside of the card you want to use

2

2 Remove the backing from the tape

3

3 Apply the gold leaf to the tape – just any old how

4

4 Smooth the golf leaf down and loose bits away

5 This can be done with a duster brush

6 So the result is a lovely crisp line great for adding texture to a border – or matting your work onto

Many thanks for stopping by –  Suzanne

An interesting workshop, Suzanne, thank you. I have used goldleaf in the past but have used either the proper size or a quickie glue pen but this would be less messy.
