Tassels

Well on Joanna`s website there is a lovely section with tassels to buy  ( and store them at home as you never want to use them ) - they are gorgeous – and because you can replace them it`s ok to use them!!!

Here is my little stash that I have collected along the way

Tassels I love just to add that little something extra to a card – here Just a few ideas`s

Pairing tone on tone tassels with loops – this will be what today`s workshop is all about

Adding something extra to the card and as well as matching the colours up

A Wedding invite focal point

Finishing touches to the perfume bottle - full instructions on the link

So mini workshops – I know this isn`t for everyone and maybe teaching people to suck eggs – but some haven`t tied tassels before so I thought this would be of use to someone

1. Take your tassel loop from behind and poke it through your hole you have made – maybe with a Japanese Screwpounch

1.

2.  Loop the hoop over the top of the tassel and pull tight – that`s your tassel secure

2.

3. For the double tone on tone tassel – take your 2 tassels to match your design – picking out the main colours – with the one you want to be shorter – tie a knot in the loop – leaving a gap

3.

4. Place the other tassel through the loop

4.

5. Place it in the position that feels right and tighten – this design came about as I wanted one tassel shorter than the other but didn`t want to cut either one as it would have fraid – this way it`s shoter and looks nice too

5.

6. Place on your card with silicone glue I find best and here I have matched in the sunflower from the decoupage and with a organza bow too

Today I saw a STUNNING card on a blog and I have asked if it`s ok to share and kindly Ann has said yes

It`s a Ginger Jar using the Glitter Girls embossing Board -  but as I had tassels on the mind I loved the way this had been done -  I have done this one below by knotting it by hand – place click the link to see the card and tassel - thanks Ann

So there are many ways to use tassels – here are just a few – I will add more as and when I find them

Please have a look and add to this new section should you have any queries – full details all about it

on this section – thanks for taking the time to look
